EQUIP AUTO Paris 2027 and GARAC create the first immersive space dedicated to light commercial and heavy goods vehicle maintenance careers
Paris, 28 September 2026 – For EQUIP AUTO Paris 2027, EQUIP AUTO and GARAC, France’s National School for Automotive and Mobility Professions, announce a partnership to create an immersive educational space within the new LCV & HGV Repair and Maintenance Village.
A key highlight of the Village, this space will give trade visitors and young trainees the opportunity to explore developments in light commercial vehicle (LCV) and heavy goods vehicle (HGV) repair and maintenance through demonstrations, hands-on workshops and practical scenarios.
The aim is to showcase the skills, technologies and careers shaping LCV and HGV maintenance today, while demonstrating how training prepares professionals for the changes ahead.
The space will feature four main activities:
• Exploring electric truck maintenance operations using a training platform;
• An introduction to electric LCV diagnostics (battery, converter, drivetrain, etc.);
• An immersive introduction to HGV mechanics, exploring the main engine components on a training bench;
• Demonstrations of new training technologies using virtual and augmented reality.
Through this partnership, EQUIP AUTO and GARAC aim to provide practical illustrations of the major changes transforming the sector: vehicle electrification, advances in diagnostics, workshop digitalisation, new safety requirements and evolving skills. The initiative will show how training supports these transformations and prepares tomorrow’s professionals.
By combining their expertise, EQUIP AUTO and GARAC are making the LCV & HGV Repair and Maintenance Village a key destination for professionals, emerging talent and all stakeholders across these sectors.
From 12 to 16 October 2027,
the entire industry will come together around a shared passion.
