The Croisière Verte 2024 is accompanied by a team of passionate and experienced explorers. At its head is Éric Vigouroux, entrepreneur and former rally-raid driver, who initiated the project. At his side are Alexandre Winocq, co-driver and experienced mechanic, and Antonia de Roissard, expert in logistics for international touring events. Maarten van Pel, technical consultant, contributes his expertise acquired during a long electric trip in Africa, and Claudio von Planta, renowned film-maker, will document the adventure on his electric motorcycle. A close-knit team, combining know-how, passion and vision.

EQUIP AUTO will be showcasing two inspiring projects combining a commitment to solidarity and technological innovation: the Bibendum crew of the 4L Trophy, working for the children of Morocco, and the Croisière Verte, a 100% electric African expedition. The show is supporting these adventures by offering them visibility in Pavilion 7.1, alongside their emblematic vehicles.

The concept
Croisière Verte 2024 celebrates the 100th anniversary of the legendary Croisière Noire launched by André Citroën in 1924. Spearheaded by Éric Vigouroux, this original expedition takes the route from North to South Africa… but this time, with 4 100% electric and autonomous vehicles, the Citroën AMI, powered by renewable energies. Combining innovation, sustainable mobility and a social dimension, The Croisière Verte aims to demonstrate that light, autonomous and environmentally-friendly mobility is possible, even in the most extreme terrain.

To coincide with the introduction of roadworthiness testing for category L vehicles (2/3 motorized wheels and quadricycles), EQUIP AUTO, official partner of The Croisière Verte, is supporting this 100% electric and autonomous African expedition. By supporting this innovative project involving 4 Citroën AMIs, the show is affirming its commitment to sustainable, lightweight mobility, in line with regulatory and technological developments in the sector.

The 4L Trophy is much more than just a race: it’s a human, solidarity-based and sporting adventure aboard the legendary Renault 4L. Every year, hundreds of people take to the tracks of the Moroccan desert to take up a unique challenge. Their mission? To cover thousands of kilometers across France, Spain and Morocco, while bringing school and sports equipment to underprivileged children through the Enfants du désert association.
The Bibendum crew is one of these adventurers. Aboard their 4L, they crossed spectacular landscapes, overcame mechanical challenges, navigated in the sand and lived an intense human adventure of solidarity, resourcefulness and high points.
The Bibendum crew takes up the challenge
This unique adventure begins in France, passes through Spain, then plunges into the heart of the Moroccan desert. Aboard their legendary Renault 4L, the crews cover hundreds of kilometers through dunes, rocky tracks and breathtaking landscapes. But here, there’s no time limit: the most important thing is to get to the end, together, by combining mutual aid, orientation and resourcefulness.
The Michelin Man crew led this intense adventure to the end with determination, confronting mechanical hazards, testing stages, desert bivouacs and strategic choices to advance a little further each day.
738.81 km on the odometer, a crossing punctuated by daily challenges, meticulous logistics, moments of solidarity between crews, and above all, immense pride in having accomplished this epic.
And they did it! Despite obstacles, fatigue and the unexpected, they went all the way, proving their passion, endurance and team spirit.
